The Alberta Badlands

These photo's were taken near Drumheller, Alberta, Canada in the heart of the Badlands. The Badlands are known to have the richest deposits of dinosaur fossils on earth. When I was younger I went for a hike in this area with a couple of friends and found a fossilized clam shell. This tells us that the area was once under water in ancient times, and it also tells us that the map of the Earth changes, and so does its climate, perpetually.
The badlands have a very unique landscape. The shale adds orange and red colors to the overall scene.

The rock has visible layers and textures up close and afar.
